The once great Tiggis has of late, and continues to, take a nose dive into oblivion. The food as others have commented upon, was at best pedestrian, and at worst depressing. Having complained to the owner i now know where the staff get their arrogant and condescending manner. The only redeeming quality was the excellent service at the bar.

I have eaten at Tiggis several times over the past few years & sadly the service & quality of the quisine has dropped dramatically. The waiting staff are arrogant having kept us waiting over an hour and a quarter for our meal, & then were quite surly & abrupt when I dared question the length of time taken to prepare our meal when the restaurant wasn't overly busy. In essence, avoid this place as the food has gone from very good to mediocre & the service is appalling. This place sadly trades on its former good reputation which it appears to be losing at great speed

Avoid this place like the plague.  Food is at best average, service is the worst I have ever had and the staff are just plain rude. Will never hand over another penny of my hard earned wages to this so called restaurant.

I have never been motivated enough to write comments/reviews about any restaurant that I have visted until now.  Never in my life have I or my partner been treated to such sub-human service.  This places looks good from the decor - very 21st century.  However, their service is appauling, all very rude (with the exception of Lotsee)  This was my first visit to this place, who claim to call themselves a restaurant and can assure you will be my last.  If you like to spend your hard earned cash on a highly bad customer service where most of the staff have a frosty attitude, which emulates that of their Manager and Owner and the food is very average then this is definitely the place to go!

Having been to Tiggis in the past and enoyed it as a slightly more expensive restaurant, I decided to take a group of friends for my birthday. Unfortunately, we wound up with a rude waitress who left us waiting at the bar for our table for 45 mins, despite the fact the table was free and she knew we were waiting. We then ordered our food - when the main meals arrived, they all came at separate times. When I finally got served, mine was cold - along with about half of the rest of my group. When we complained, the waitress did not apologise and simply snatched our food away, returning with new meals some time later - by which time I was not hungry anymore and the other half of the group had finished their meals. The waitress was extremely rude in her approach to the whole situation - especially considering it was my birthday. After writing a letter to complain to the manager, I received no reply whatsoever. Food is good, but you risk it being cold and paying an arm and a leg for it and you run the risk of having the same waitress. My advice, try elsewhere!!

Used to be good in the early days, but alas no longer.  Went last year and was very disappointed with the meal, tried again this week - No improvement!!!! They preferred to serve a table of around 15 rather than our table of 3 eventhough we were there first, and three times we had asked if we could place our order, and they said the Manager was taking the orders.  Sadly we walked out half way down our bottle of wine, without our meal.
Risk it at your own expense!! I certainly will not be going there again!!

Been quite a few times recently before it has got busy on the weekends and had a lovely time, nice chilled music and a forever smiling waiter.  must admit to agreeing with some of the more negative comments though too.  worth a try though.

Lunch at Tiggis is great. At the stroke of 12.30 this place becomes quietly alive. The food is terrific, service is friendly and prices are just right. Forget the other customer reviews - give it a try you and be amazed!

It was a Friday evening and early December but the service was very poor and the meal portions were small and there was not enough vegetables to go around everyone on our table.  So overall we were disappointed especially as we had not been there before.  The only bonus was that it had a busy atmosphere.  Will not be going again

Restaurant from hell. Inflated prices not matched by quality. The highlight was the sight of a pizza that had more in common with the Iceland supermarket than a reputable eatery .  You know when your in trouble when you get served A dollop of cold tuna on a cold crusty thin wafer that takes two people to break apart and serve. Manager was pre- occupied with his attractive friends at the corner of the bar than his clients and when I complained about the food he shrugged his peak shoulders and shuffled off towards towards a tall brunette. I am seasoned restaurant man with no axe to grind but this has to be without any doubt the worst I have experienced for some time. Please avoid at all costs

I have visited Tiggis on several occasions... the food has never disappointed, the Maitre D' always goes out of his way to recommend a good wine, the staff are friendly and attentive. I was there a couple of Fridays ago when one rather inebriated gentleman of foreign extraction decided to try to stand on the table to entertain us with singing (in an unfathomable language, somewhat out of tune) and dancing , of sorts. It is to the Managers credit that he was able to subjugate this harmless person with minimal fuss and without distracting the enjoyment of other guests. May I strongly suggest to the supercilious clientele who have made negative comments to please take their business elsewhere where their egotistical, condescending attitudes may be pandered to in the submissive manner which they mistakenly believe that they are entitled to.

Waited over an hour for  a meal that arrived cold. Very small portions at inflated prices. Spoke to the manager who was arrogant and offensive-he threatened to call the police when we said we were not going to pay for the meal and got his heavy mob at the door to prevent us leaving-we paid reluctantly. This was my friend's hen night which was spoilt by this man's offensive manner. Will never go again and neither should anyone else!!

We took two friends friends of ours there for a meal on Saturday, it was busy but seats were available.  There wasn't anyone to ask if there was a table free, so we purchased some drinks and sat down, a waiter came and took our food order and ten minutes later another waiter asked us to leave and said that the table was reserved, there were no signs indicating this but we moved back to the bar area. 40 minutes later there was still no one sitting at the table and we found the attitude of the staff arrogant to say the least.  Do not give these people your money there are better places in Solihull with more pleasant staff and better value for money

It was my hen party last night, im getting wed on valentines day in Gretna, no one is coming so wanted a special night out with 10 of my closest friends. We chose Tiggis for this, how wrong we were. horrid, rude, arrogant manager threatened to have us removed as we dared to complain that the food was cold!! we had waited from 9.15 til 10pm to have our meal, we were so hungry after this wait that we ate it, when we told the manager he said "you ve eaten it, it must of been ok" He proceeded to tell us that he had phoned the owner of Tiggis at home who had told him that we were obviously "professional complainers"(!!!!!!!!!)and to have us removed!! Please beware.

Attended with a works party for our Christmas get together. Food was quite nice but that is it!. Could not move in the place. Told to hurry up and eat our meal as they wanted to bring in the next sitting 30 minutes early. Told us to sit outside whilst they sorted diners out and then refused to let us back in as we had under 25's in the party!!. Complained to the manager who's said, he owned the place and had a business to run, if we didn't like it go elsewhere. That was after we had parted with about £500!!!. DONT DONT DONT book your Xmas party at this arrogant hell hole!!

Excellent on Friday and Saturday night for dancing and having fun.  Waiters are a bit arrogant but it adds to the charm of the place. The new champagne bar and decor are fantastic. I highly recommend Tiggis for a good enjoyable night out.  New Saturday night DJ is superb and plays music for all ages which was drastically need to attract more young people!

We eat at Tiggis regularly. It changes it's character depending upon the day and the time. If you like noise, atmosphere and organised chaos go Friday or Saturday night. If you want a good meal and be able to hear, go midweek. If you have young children and want adult food and pizzas, go early evening or lunchtime. Generally it's great and we never have a problem getting a table

For the food you get its brilliant value, great atmosphere, lovely smiling waitress. i think the bad revues are based on the stuck up attitude of the people in Solihull- like to complain about everything and nothing is ever good enough. being a waitress i can understand when service may lack slightly when it is a busy Friday or Saturday night. i don't think anyone could do any better under those kind of circumstances. cant wait to go again

Food average/ok. Staff some of the rudest have have ever come across, complete lack of manners and they swan around the place with an air of arrogance. I actually complained the last (and I mean LAST) time I went there. I would recommend Tiggis if you wish to be spoken to like dirt and leered at (despite being with my boyfriend) by the male waiters.

I have been twice in two weeks to Tiggis, they are excellent value and the service (contrary to some reviews) is very good.  The staff are polite and helpful; they aren't teenagers, but what's the problem if they are!  They are in an excellent location and if you go, try and get a window table.  You can see out the front of the Touchwood centre.  They do an offer where you can eat any pizza or pasta for £5.  It's the cheapest place in Solihull for quality food and it's a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant

Tiggis in Solihull is not a patch on the original Tiggis Restaurants in the North West of England. The food is ok, but they seem to have invested too much in the decor rather than the service. The layout is more orientated to groups where you probably won't notice the poor service. I object to being served by snotty teenagers who have never gone out for a meal themselves and consequently don't even know that they have not brought the Parmasan, the Black Pepper or warmed the brandy glass. The food was ok but I won't be queuing to get in here again. If you must eat in touchwood, go across to La Tasca.

Visited when the restaurant was first opened, and the meal was delightful. Visited a couple of weeks ago and was dished up something that was obviously microwaved as it arrived no more than 3 minutes after we'd ordered, garlic bread was burnt and service was typical of many places these days, run by youngsters with little or no idea!

After Saturday I'll never be dining in Tiggis again, Its gone very down hill and tacky and lacks any real atmosphere plus I felt the service was awful and the attitude of the bouncer was disgusting as he seemed more intent in staring at me and my wife and generally acting hard that we decided to leave early.
Its a shame because we liked Tiggis when it first opened but its gone way off the boil in my view.

We really enjoyed going to this restaurant when it first opened. However, we have been deterred from visiting again after being treated very abruptly, not to say rudely when we asked for a table one evening in early December. The restaurant was not full. It was after 10pm, but we had visited the restaurant at the same time (after concerts in Birmingham) on many previous occasions. On previous occasions the owner had been present, and he always insisted on high levels of courtesy and service. He was absent on our last visit. Perhaps this is what made the difference. We would like to go again, but are reluctant to expose ourselves to such discourtesy when there are many other places to go.
