Was in St. Augustines in the mid-80's - happy times - anyone out there
remember me?

1970's |
I went to the school
between 1974 and 1979, and remember both headteachers being Mr McKenna
and Mr Feeley, i hated him, and the lovely Mrs McKie in infants, i
served her when i worked in the old Safeways. What happened to Douglas
Strider, Sally Denning, Julie Crease and Claire Baker, they have all
moved off somewhere, fond days of childhood
Berni
Would love to hear from any of the old crowd, the "Waldron
twins", Lizzie Rice, Margaret Kelly etc.

1960's |
Myself and my sisters
were all at St Augustines from about 65-73. Sisters are Lesley,
Lorraine and Ann-marie, like Szrejder I also remember all those
wonderful teachers, does anyone remember any of us?
Robert Campbell
I am trying to trace Mary Henry who had a sister called Pauline we were
in the same class in 1963 but I had to leave in 1964 as my family moved south. Please
contact me if you have any info.
Elizabeth Crompton
Me and my brothers Mark. David. Adrian and Douglas were all at St Augustines, myself between 66-72, when Mr McKenna was headmaster and we
had some cracking teachers like Miss Gray and Miss Copson. The parish
priest then was Father Taylor who used to cycle everywhere and call
around your house if he hadn't seen you in church recently!

I attended St Augustines from 1956 to 1961
I remember the Walton twins but they were younger than me. My niece Jane
Goodman was friends with the Walton twins as a relation lived next door to
Jane.

1940's |
Is there anyone out there from the early '40's? My brothers and
sister and I attended from 1941 onwards. Father Emery's time, how I
hated confession with him, his loud voice telling the whole church your
misdemeanours. Miss Tree, Miss Hilton and the terrifying Miss O'Driscoll,
air raids and down the shelter by the grotto and dinners as we marched
to the British Restaurant.
