Good solid typical Balti-style cuisine with polite, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. OK, they aren't going to win any awards, but you can't fault the establishment for a decent curry & a few beers. I shall return.

If you like your food really spicy then this is the place for you, even the beetroot was spicy! Personally found everything too hot and couldn't enjoy the food - the pizza looked ok, but went very quickly so never got to try it.  Several of the burners had gone out down one side so a lot of the dishes were cold.  I was asked if I wanted my stir fry spicy, I said NO, but again I couldn't eat it - far too hot!! The beer is very expensive, and even though we booked in advance we were stuck in a gangway on some garden furniture, with everyone squeezing past us - even though there were plenty of empty booths, we were told we couldn't have one! Wouldn't recommend.

I've been many times and enjoyed it a lot. But the last time I went it had gone down hill. They sneaked a ratty stale poppadom onto our table hidden under a pile of others which they charged us for, the coke was watered down, the portions were smaller and were served up in smaller bowls to disguise the fact and I saw 3 people doing their trouser zips up while coming out of the kitchen. It put me off to say the least and I won't be going back

Wonderful place to eat- enjoyable and a friendly atmosphere the food is great and the service is good considering it gets very busy at times. The fumes from various smokers are a slightly hindering however not noticeable while dining in the premises. Smoking shall soon be banned anyway after this ,Shirley Spice will be even better and i will definitely be eating there with my family.

Fantastic food at a very friendly place. If you like pathias then this is the place to eat them as the flavour id exceptional. My only grumble would be that there is no place for non smokers to escape the smell of the dreaded weed.

Our regular curry house for years now, tried others in Shirley but always end up returning here. Top notch service & quality food. Gets very busy at weekends so best to book!

Extremely friendly service, very nice food, great atmosphere but be warned...any tips u leave go directly to the owner not the waiter so don't tip (or be discreet in doing it). My girlfriend and I are proper regulars!

Unfortunately I have not had the same experience as other customers. The food was very average, bright pink, and very sweet. Service was good, and it was very busy, so obviously a lot of other people like it there! However, there are plenty of other Indian restaurants in the area that serve more original and tastier meals.

Twice I have taken my children around 7pm during a week night (not a busy time). Both times our starters took over an hour, and in the end cancelled children's main meals both times when they had not arrived by 9.30.

Suffice it to say that I once took a friend there and she maintained (from a position of experience) that it was one of the best meals she had been served.
Now pesters to pay return visits, trouble is I live in SURREY and she lives in KENT. Fortunately, I eat Shirley Spice each time I visit family in he area.
