Alderbrook School
Alderbrook is an 11-16, mixed comprehensive school serving the pleasant area of south
Solihull. It was formed in 1974 from an amalgamation of Harold Malley Boys' and Harold
Cartwright Girls' Grammar Schools. Approximately 243 pupils of all levels of ability are
admitted each year with a further 9 places reserved for pupils with Statements of Special
Educational Need, for whom the school is additionally staffed and resourced. An excellent

Solihull School
An independent day School for boys between the ages of 7 and 18 and for girls in the Sixth
Form.
There are approximately 950 pupils in the School of whom over 270 are in the Sixth Form
(75 girls) and 150 in the Junior School. The School has been in continuous existence since
1560, when the Chantry revenues of the Chapel of St. Mary and St. Katherine, in the parish
Church of St. Alphege, were used to establish the foundation.
