You Said....

My dad and I visited this pub about a week ago, around 4ish on a
weekday. Thought the pub was very well furnished and lovely canal
setting. The food arrived at a very reasonable time and I thought the
vegetables were very lovely and has obviously been steamed although the
pastry on my chicken pie was slightly too dry. My dad didn't enjoy the
overload of batter on his fish and chips although said the beer tasted
great. The waiters were pleasant enough but could maybe be a little
friendlier and happier.

I would not recommend this place at all. There was an innocent mistake
with the booking - not on my part I have to add but the landlord made me
feel like it was all my fault. 0 out of 10 for customer service.

Cold room temperature with only a real fire which the locals blocked
out. Unfriendly manager. Poor food. Overpriced 'cheap plonk' wine. Huge,
huge let down! Brought relatives from over 20 miles away and it was a
total wash out.

Poor food, miserable, unhelpful waitresses, will not be going back there
again.

Great traditional pub with good food and fantastic bar staff, highly
recommended, lovely canal side setting and wonderful in the sun, not
that bad in the rain either as they provide free bar games and even a
book club
