I used to be a regular at (chequers) sorry Fieldhouse for many
years and had some great nights there especially when England were
playing. Will call in when i visit England in the summer and please put
the glasses in the fridge before you pull the pint to keep it nice and
cool.

of chequers through to the busy days of the Fieldhouse i have never seen
undesirables in there ever just a good bunch of great people and i miss
it!

Britcit2 obviously
has not been to the shelly farm recently. The shelly farm is as busy as
ever and you will struggle to get a seat on Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
without doubt the shelly is the best pub in Monkspath and i think
britcit2 (world's stupidest name ever) should try the place before he
writes false and unfounded rubbish on the internet

Like it. Great improvement over the old Chequers. My
designated local! Just don't overshoot the turning and mistakenly end up
in the Shelly Farm pub down the road...unless you like your pubs to have
all the atmosphere of a morgue at 2am.

Great place! Really nice for a chill especially when you
haven't enough enthusiasm to cook a meal. Quiz is well full as well,
particularly seeing as you can include obscenities in your team name.
Not ken on the manager with curly hair and glasses, I think he has it in
for anyone wearing anything to do with Solihull School...??? Undenied.
PS: The Red Lion (Knowle) Quiz steals your soul.

I have really enjoyed my times down the Fieldhouse (once Chequers)
over the years. The new decor is a happy compromise between local boozer
and smart winebar and works well. Watch the prices, though, you lot.
They seem to be creeping up.

Any true Silhillian would do well to disregard Mark M & Arbor
Essence. This is a really good local pub. The drink, food, barmaids and
Sunday night quiz are all great.
The "good old" Fieldhouse (and Chequers before that) did indeed serve
cheap food and drink but only attracted Carling drinking, "pie and a
fight" types anyway. Good riddance.

The Fieldhouse is a lovely place to go and have a drink and
something to eat. Credit to Richard and Barbra and the rest of the
staff, I always have an enjoyable time there!

Great pub, great staff, really nice place. Anyone who thinks it was
better as the chequers, if the Fieldhouse is that bad, don't drink
there, I'm sure there are some other pubs in Solihull??

Good place to go for a bite to eat and a few drinks. Over the years
the prices
have risen somewhat.

Great pub always busy, unlike the old Fieldhouse, Mark M cant blame Ember
for making their pub profitable! Old pub full of undesirables and bad
atmosphere now friendly and inviting! FOOD GREAT.
Philip
I love it, nice friendly atmosphere and the bar staff and managers make
you feel welcome. my complements to the chef, the food is delicious.
Kate
I only remember it as the Chequers. It is now really nice. Pleasant
atmosphere, reasonable prices, no trouble at all. It is great how such a
variety of people can enjoy it. Some lovely barmaids as well.
Adam
Can't agree with Mark M - it's sooooooo much better since it got a face lift and was
refitted. Good food at very reasonable prices, and a nice place to go for a drink.
Mark Turner
My god, I hate this place now....muppets what have they done to it?
Abor Esence
Nice pub until good old Ember Inns murdered it for good.
Bring back old Fieldhouse with the cheap menu and cheap drinks!
Mark M
A Great now its been done up. The only problem is its so busy and you can't always get in!
But a great pub.
Helen
A decent friendly pub, great atmosphere although quite pricey, but its our local so we
love it..
