Having not eating at a chef and brewer before I decided to give them a go this May bank holiday. I was informed  on arrival  that they were busy and that there was a wait on food service but after looking at the menu I decided this was a place for me. The choice was fabulous the staff very attentive and the food when it arrived (well within the wait time) was exceptional. I hope every chef and brewer is this good as i will be eating at them more. Thanks

Brilliant all-round service, the food is delicious and of a very high standard, and reasonably priced.  The menus are interesting but still have the old classics on there.  I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The Boat Inn had a great atmosphere and was generally a great place to eat. We arrived about 7pm and the place was packed after waiting 30 mins for a table it was well worth the wait. The waiter couldn't of been more attentive and the food was brilliant. Overall a great place to visit. we will definitely be returning!!

We ate here recently and the service was appalling. The food was ok - typical pub fayre - but having sat down at 8 p.m. and we only had 2 courses, the pud didn't arrive until 10.00 p.m.! and then only after much complaining, and it wasn't even a busy night. Will not be going there again. I complained to the Manager who gave us the puds free as a gesture of goodwill, and said that the whole of the staff working that evening had been drafted in from the Bear at Berkswell as it was the staff's belated Xmas Party. Still not a good reason though for such substandard service.
