You Said....

I visited Bar Censa on Saturday after noon with my elderly mother.  I realised as soon as we walked in we had made a mistake in our choice.  The music was loud and there were widescreen TVs everywhere, but I knew my mother was tired and needed to rest so we opted to stay.   The staff  went out of their way to be helpful and pleasant, moving us to a quieter corner and providing some waiter service.  The food was good value. The member of staff who looked after us had to be persuaded to accept a tip.
Good customer service can and does make all the difference.  Thank you.

I want to organise a night @ Censsa but before I put my proposal to the owners I'd like your views. Club Classics, Funky House bit off allsorts but on a house edge rather than RnB etc. It will have a commercial edge as its a commercial venue but the music will be a lot more varied than Rosies and other places due to the fact I will have DJ's who have spent years on their house music collection and DJ skills. Whats peoples views on this?
Jon

Someone who loves Yates is bound to wind up any bouncer!! I'm guessing its Yates lover with the attitude problem, not Nicole. Shes a great door woman and was even nominated in last years pubwatch awards.
Nicole Fan!

This place would b so much better if u got rid of the bouncers with attitude...what is that woman all about?...nice place 4 a few drinks though

In reply to "Censsa Regulars" you might want to check your facts before mouthing off. The managers departure was a long time coming and planned with plenty of back up, he didn't just up sticks and leave. He also didn't take all the staff with him. Some chose to follow him, some chose to go elsewhere. And The Opal Lounge is not a members bar anymore, and hasn't been for a long time, nor is it clinical in anyway, rather cosy actually I believe. Just remember, the manager you are so quick to slate is the person who turned Censsa into what it is, he turned that place around and brought it back from near closure. I'm confident he will do just as good a job on the Opal Lounge.

Manager suddenly left - hence current temporary management (doing a good job!) and has taken bar staff with him.
To leave in such a hurry....... and how customer friendly. And then on Saturday night the glass collector suddenly left at 9.00pm to join the old manager at his new venue (surely a health and safety issue..?) - The Opal Lounge. There were uncollected glasses everywhere, luckily the bouncers did an excellent job of collecting them. This smells of dirty tricks - not a good image for the current "Opal Lounge". Who wants to go there anyway, a clinical, boring "cocktail bar" that forces people to become members, then still charges them for entry. A new manager is about to start at Bar Censsa. This is a great bar, please build on what we have, great music, lovely design and decor, and remember to employ decent bar staff!

Still the best bar in Solihull but we hope the individuals who caused the demise of BarCo and RB's do not come here because they will not be welcome. In response to Christian might he wonder why it took so long to get in...

This bar has changed so much since Christmas and for the worst. At one time it was quite fashionable to go to cennsa but after a brief visit last week it was awful. After eventually making it past the door staff, i found the service slug slow and the music was more commercial than RB's! that takes a lotta beating...
c'mon guys, sort it out.

Pretty sound bar don't get many u18s which is good. Good DJ's - needs a bigger
dance floor, then would b best place in Solihull.

Stylish place littered with modern decor etc. This is probably why the food/drink
is a bit more expensive than the norm. Staff are friendly too, not bad overall.

In reply to Mr SIMON B... I take it as you refer the last manager as Reggie you know him well , therefore you'll know who the manger is now !!! and if going down hill means being twice as busy then lets hope the whole of Solihull goes that way! No doubt you also notice most of the bars in Solihull are now using those 'Stupid Signs'!!!!

Up there with the Best bars in Sol. The cocktails are great, the staff are brilliant too. Music is good, but nowhere to dance! Bring back those fire breathing babes too!

Come back Reggie! This place really has gone down hill! Where did the bouncers suddenly get their attitude from? what's with all the stupid signs outside? Whoever the new manager is he needs to grow up!

This is a legendary bar but please, managers, be smart, leave the ballroom open ALL DAY you are losing custom.
Clifford Etienne

We can notice a huge difference with new management! Food even better, late licence, wicked music, dance floor, big screen, great staff (door and bar)! The place to be in Solihull!!!!!!
Eric

Top place! Bouncers and staff are well friendly. Music is 'bangin', always good for a laugh until you have to go to Rosies!!
Sophie Peg

Pretty good night guaranteed. Bouncers are ok for a change. No trouble, good music and love the deco. But where's the late night licence?!
M Dalvin

Good place to go, if your up for a laugh pints are a bit expensive though.
But love the shots for a squid
Rob

Its really good, the music's great! But the one thing that didn't turn me on was the pigeons roaming around outside, oh dear me! Babe/nanny xxx
Liz Keates

If this place had a dance floor, it would be the greatest. Quality music, top people, friendly staff, mega!
Dave

Bouncers OK bar lacks atmosphere beer should b cheaper. Average bar not the best and game machines don't work most of time. Best for just a pint.
QPR Fan

Banging music, nowhere to bang to! Other than that, spot on!
A must if you're up for a laugh
Neil

Its Great!! My Friday night local, without fail, friendly bouncers and bar staff, good music, great atmosphere and great fun!!
Lucy Cotterill

Absolutely a quality place to go for a drink, great music and an even more great atmosphere. Unlike other places there are no trouble-makers or drugs in there.
Hard House

They've got toilet seats as loud speakers! Expensive beer but really good atmosphere. Have to have the two for one on cocktails.
Kathy

Located in the centre of town in what was once Solihull Council House, Bar Censsa has bags of space, art deco styling and a relaxing atmosphere.
Ruth S

Much better than the Coachouse. pretty good atmosphere with good weekday food.
Jon

This bar is great. A wonderful atmosphere, decent music etc. The only thing it's missing is a dance floor.
