8 of us went to Apres for a leaving do, and to be honest I did expect a little more for a place with so much emphasis on its image. The customer service was poor, one of the baked potatoes we got was so hard it was inedible, we sent it back, and got a refund and some % off vouchers, then we had to ask for the table to be cleared, and it was half cleared, we ended up moving all our glasses to one end of the table so they would bother to clear them, at which point a waitress did clear them only to stack about 10 up in one hand and just drop them, smashing the lot over some of our coats.
All in all I rate the evening about a 4/10, not great, could be better, the atmosphere was nice, but the over-table TV with lingerie adverts didn't really set the mood. But hey, the log fire looked simply delightful.

I wouldn't recommend anybody go to this place for a night out. I went to meet my friends and family at this bar .They were happy to let me into the bar but refused entry to my brother they asked him for identification he showed it them they then said it was 25's only (when I rang them that day they had told me it was 21's) they couldn't fault him on his appearance. I stood at at door trying to inform friends and family of the situation and over heard the same bouncer ask for a girl identification she said she was 21 and he let her in. I confronted the bouncer and asked to speak with manager. The manager backed him all the way and was also very rude. They have a very discriminative policy, if policy is the right word it doesn't actually sound as if they do have one. Very sexist attitudes and you probably have to be a sexist pig to get a job there.

Refused entry for not having a collar. How sexist is that. MD of four companies and I can't get into a bar with allegedly a racist and sexist door policy. How do they continue to get away with it. Arrogant and pretentious, give it a miss.

Stupidly pretentious bar!! they seem to have their own personal policies on who is allowed to get in. Ridiculous!

The door staff have a severe attitude problem, I am a successful local businessman who is always smartly dressed however I have been refused entry on at least 3 occasions for not being smart enough, You would have thought that as businessmen the owners would welcome big spenders however it seems that this is not the case if your face doesn't fit, I will not go there again and prefer MUST as it is a lot less pretentious

Food was very tasty - especially the pizzas and paninis.  Portions are also quite big, so good value for money. Was impressed with the service as waiters are very friendly and the food came within 15-20 minutes.

Very impressed. Visited in Dec , Never been in before, hadn't realised it was there! Didn't know if I ordered at bar or from the table, member of staff noticed I looked a little lost and came straight over to me to help. They explained I ordered from bar along with my drinks. Seems more like a bar providing food rather than a restaurant. It was very busy and was informed there would be 30 min wait, but food arrived in 20 mins, staff seemed busy but still smiled and seemed friendly. Mussels were lovely and my daughter enjoyed the pizza. Would recommend and will visit again .

Eaten here a few times and have generally been impressed with the food - although think the burgers could be better quality meat and a proper piece of cheese rather than a plastic cheese slice lets it down. Bar staff are a bit slow/lack umph but friendly.
